The ERP decision is one of the few technology choices a company lives with for a decade. Get it wrong and the business spends years paying for the mistake. Get it right and the system becomes ordinary infrastructure.

The comparison is a licensed platform or the one we operate. Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other licensed ERPs charge for the software and for a large implementation. Axerp by Axina Group does not charge for the software. CTO Rescues has a stake in Axerp. That is a reason to be explicit about fit, not a reason to hide it. The first conversation should be able to end with “stay where you are.”

What a licensed ERP actually costs

Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and the other systems in this class are sold as software. The buyer pays a license or a subscription, then pays an implementation. On perpetual licenses, annual maintenance commonly runs 20 to 30 percent of the license, every year.

Headcount, extra entities, and extra modules each become another invoice. Stay on that platform when leaving it is the larger risk:

  • A regulator, a customer, or an existing control environment already expects Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or the system you run.
  • Finance, HCM, or the wider estate is already in production, and replacing it is the more expensive risk.
  • The company needs the partner ecosystem and the hiring market that sit around that product.
  • Multi-entity, multi-currency finance is already modeled there, and the gap is execution rather than the product.

Those are real products at enterprise scale. The cost is the price of keeping a system you cannot staff a migration away from.

The same stay-or-move test applies whether the system of record is Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or another licensed ERP. This practice has published Oracle database and Application Express work since 2007. Module-level specialists are added to an engagement when that is the scope. They are named on the bench page only after they have agreed to be listed.

When Axerp is the right choice

Axerp is Axina Group’s enterprise platform: accounting, sales, procurement, manufacturing, HR, inventory, quality, and the rest of the operating stack. It is built on Frappe. Axina states support for 50+ countries and 12+ core modules on one data model. Axerp is cloud-agnostic. The host is chosen for the engagement. Data residency is a deployment decision to confirm for the country in question.

We do not charge for the software. We charge for hosting, integrating, customizing, implementing, and training. There is no 20 to 30 percent annual maintenance fee on a software license.

Consider Axerp when:

  • The company needs a full operating platform and the license is the obstacle.
  • Embedded planning matters more than a model bolted on later. Axina describes that layer as the Quantum Deductive Simulation Engine: deterministic, constraint-driven planning across modules.
  • A per-user license, a subscription that grows with seats, or a locked vendor contract is the problem you are trying to leave.
  • The deployment has to sit on a chosen cloud, or move later, because the platform is not tied to one provider.

Ask to see an installation in your industry before you treat Axerp as the default. Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics have the longer public implementation record.

Five questions

  1. What does the regulator, the auditor, or the customer’s contract already require?
  2. What does the license or subscription do to cost if headcount or the number of entities doubles?
  3. What estate is already live, and what would it cost to leave it?
  4. Does the operating plan need planning inside the ERP, or a separate analytics project?
  5. Who will run the system after go-live, and can you hire them?

The answer can be both, or neither

A company can keep a licensed ERP for finance and use another platform for supply chain or HCM. That is an architecture to design, not a client result this page is claiming. Some programs should not start. If the data is not trusted, the process is not owned, or the sponsor will not stay through go-live, a new ERP will not fix it.

If you are weighing this, book a discovery call. We will say which platform fits, including when the answer is to leave all of them alone.
